Novation Launchpad programming experiments

Written by Admin on April 2nd, 2010

Just got this new toy yesterday! The Novation Launchpad is supposed a dedicated controller for Ableton Live but it has a MIDI protocol that lets you switch the leds on and off and receive button presses. I am working in Visual C++ here with the Windows MIDI API to make a “breakout” game animation and an interactive step sequencer which sends midi note messages via MIDI YOKE to Reason.. first mapped to Redrum then to a Subtractor bass patch. Very quick experiments! Download it for yourself hotchk155.blogspot.com

I don’t know much about programing language, but I’d love to use my launchpad as a step sequencer. Can you help me out?
