hi i’ve got 2 midi controler they are both enabled but can’t get anything in the mapping browser..
But works when i try for the computer keyboard….
Any idea?
@daniela008 – Make sure you have Remote enabled in the MIDI/Sync tab of the Preferences for your MIDI controller. Then click the MIDI Mapping Mode Switch in the upper right of interface, click on the parameter you want to map, then turn the knob. In the mapping browser just type in your changes into the text boxes. If you don’t see the mapping browser, just open the Browser while in mapping mode. Have fun.
hey i need help please
i turned this folder into a “ableton project” folder, and i want to move my library to this folder, so ableton wont let me do that because the folder is now a “project”
so if anyone can tell me how to un-projectize a folder that would be great
Hey,
This is a really awesome tutorial but I can’t edit the midi mapping either. After reading a few replies I realized Iwasn’t the only one with this prob. so please for the sake of your appreciative fans and fairly new dubstep musicians to be – HOW DO WE SET COOL MIDI MAPPING?
Thanks a lot,
Daniela
cant even get it to play a wav file on the simpler. it loads but get no sound.
Thank you for this tut, but I cant edit in midi mapping, its just turns blue, but i cant edit anything
I cant understand how to map LFO
why does the temp increase with higher notes on the keyboard? how is it fixed?
cool
cheers man, trying to apply the same technique to floops
@MoneyMonkey2008 no prob – we really are crack head white boy rappers….
@DubSpot It was a mistake, There was some loser KrazyKlown leaving a stupid message on a video I had up and when I clicked on his page your vid popped up and it was late and i thought it was his vid then when I left the post I was like oh man and I tried to delete it but I’m new to You tube and thought it was deleted but apparantly not. Your stuff was pretty cool. I’m a musician and I checked it out and your stuff is cool. Sorry bro. Peace,
Cass
i just started learning ableton live like today and this was the first thing I learned. i gotta say thanks a lot man i love dubstep.
the only problem i had was that the midi mapping was so frustrating but that was because I didn’t have the remote set
thanks and peace!
I cannot find MachineDrumSquareC.wav But I have an Sine Saw Square but…still don’t working:(
@MoneyMonkey2008 — both!
Are you a White boy rapper or a crack head?
YES! Mike Hatsis! i did learn something
and then later i watched it again and learned something again!
lol ty bro
@pmccallig18 click the button labeled MIDI in the upper right, its next to a button labeled audio in the ableton interface. your screen should be shaded blue over any parameter that can be mapped. click the parameter you want to change followed by moving the knob, fader,or button of your midi controller you want to control it. To the left you will see it has been mapped and you can preset limits or rates to your parameter. I hope that helped
How do you map to the midi controller?
I have the downloaded Wave. However even when I play it at first it sounds completly different to yours. Even before any editing.??
does anybody know the names of the firt two tracks at the beginning? the 3rd is “sushi brain” from headhunter. they are really cool.
aw thanks man!
