It’s not working for me. It actually just drops the volume really low but doesn’t fluctuate any ideas on what I am doing wrong.

I thought it was because I was using midi clips but im using samples now and i still get the same result, low volume.

    HELP PLEASE

it has more than what live 8 has I upgraded from live 8 to suite 8 box version so I could get session drums and more latin percussion drums also. But its worth getting suite 8 I could tell you this that I have started with live 6 through a friend who introduce me to the program and I am very very please with the results, coming from logic 7 and Logic pro 8

  21. spacemanvector32 says:

Ableton 8 Suite actually has all the same and more than Live 8 alone, it includes instruments, drums, etc, over the Live 8 upgrade. It is also more expensive as a standalone, but for those upgrading from Live 7 you get everything for relatively cheap. That is what I did.

  22. mysteryman123456789 says:

does ableton suite 8 have all the same things as ableton live 8 does? whats the big difference as well?

  23. PrimeLoops says:

Hi there – yes we have a couple of tutorials on this too! Enjoy!

Interesting. I’ve heard a similar effect done by doing compressor sidechaining – never done it with a gate. Sounds like a “harder” version of the former. Good stuff.
