    Nice video Ableton.
My answer for all the questions, is this:
Ableton is a great App to start out with, it may seem at first, but once you learn how this software works, you’ll learn that the workflow is alot better than most DAW’s.
There are some things I miss in this DAW, but it’s my main go-to DAW for working with music and mixing.
I use toontrack superior alot, but session drums also looks wicked!
Either way, this video is sick! Nice playing huston!

    I’m very impressed.

  3. RAYGproductions says:

    love it

  4. RobRokken says:

How does one go about learning to do this? I’m not a drummer, hard to find tutorials online about this??

i just started fucking with it, i don’t know shit about DAWS. it’s really frustrating but that’s just because i’m a total noob. this prog seems geared more toward people who like to record things on the fly, it’s cool in that you can fuck around with it in real time and record things layer by layer in real time if you want.

    some hot shit right there

  7. do0minatrix says:

    wicked

    are those weighted key?
I’ve a 25 key oxygen 8 and had some trouble with playing drums on it. i’m thinking it might have been the sensitivity. Or is there a triggering difference playing session drums in the drum rack, opposed to using the regular impulse?

  9. SEAL07 says:

what makes this different from other DAWS. is it a good thing for beginners to start off with?

  10. htsauce420 says:

Would love for you guys to hear some of the stuff I have created with live. Let me know where I can send it to, I’ll forward you something over.

Click om my name to check out the studio :)

  13. robdrums69 says:

Yeah, I do the same thing.

I have the trigger finger and my axiom 49 is easier to drum on. I”ve played drums for years and using the keys is a lot better for quick drum movement, Trigger finger slows me down and I have it up for sale right now :) lol

Currently, saving for the full session drums , because the couple of kits that came with my boxed version of Live 7 only has a couple in there, they are amazing though, hence why I’m going to get the full version for the rest of the kits.

    thats wicked sick

  15. DJburnEmuc says:

I spotted the triggerfinger in the background. Is it really easier to do that on a keyboard for you?
    Great job!

  16. AbletonInc says:

    Sure can : )
Ableton Live 7 has a keyboard input selector that allows this.

    H.

  17. rhupliftmofocp says:

can you use a normal pc keyboard to do this?

  18. rogerioromao says:

Man, i can play the kick & the snare at the same time on the keyboard… two finger action, that’s it!
If i throw in the right hand, everything falls apart.

  19. machinate says:

I love the trigger finger just thrown on the floor in the background, hehe.

  20. sonarfreq says:

  21. RitaChanita says:

    hey VinnieRoyale:

sounds like you’re a bit bit green budy! Practice mate. But thanks for the negativity anyway, it’s what keeps the internet going.

  22. JVager says:

    Very nice skills !!!

  23. motionPush says:

never seen it done on a keyboard before, greart work

  24. VinnieRoyale says:

this is only cool if you can actually do it, id reckon 99% of ableton live / midi users can’t come close to that.

  25. Senj1n says:

    nice.. maximum respect. good timing!
