You assign them to the same Mute group on the S2K. And I’m not sure what you mean by your first question, but editing samples is a lot easier to do with a wav editor. Then you can just transfer them with MESA.

  2. retroferret says:

how do you get the samples on the s200 to cut each other off on the KP

  3. retroferret says:

i have an s2000 and padkontrol and i cant figure out how to make it so when i play a sample and then another one in succesion the first sample stops playing.???

  4. retroferret says:

can you edit samples waveform on the s2000 ?

Dope Beat, Bro! Thanks for the Vids. I’m subscribing.

  6. Stray411 says:

I was pitching the sample on the S2K…just using a knob on the RM1X to control the S2K’s pitch.

And I could’ve got an MPC2K maybe…but that has no keygroups, so I couldn’t have made this beat with it. If you didn’t notice I use “multi-samples” in this vid, which the MPC2K cannot deal with. Plus, I try to stay away from cliches.

i dont really understand how u can stretch the tempo of the sample down from the rm1x , didnt used a s2000 tough but shouldnt that be done on the s2000 itself?

  8. triplenippel123 says:

well from that money u spend on the equip u can actually efford an mpc

Nice job. I HATE hip hop music (I have to, I’m a Trance artist hehe), but I really enjoy your vids! Great work with the hardware, those things are so confusing.

I have done cool stuff with reason.
I now have more expensive gear (mpc 60,sp1200 etc,,) but it really doesnt matter what you use.
Some of my favorite techno (schranz) is done mostly with fruity loops (and most reggaeton is too btw)
anyways good stuff keep it up!!

THANK you SO much for the tutorials, they helps me so much to see how simple it could be to make good music. Your vids are perfect to learn! THANKS a LOT!!!!

  15. joseph834 says:

yo could u send me the beat?

  16. grimmed says:

Real nice, I like it….especially like the end sequence to the sample you used, it sounds like it has a modulated pitch bend to it, sounds real good!

  17. DQ81 says:

In general, good stuff with the PK, you’ve helped me make a difficult choice between it and the TF by M-audio. I saw you post somewhere you had a Tascam us-2400. Any tutorials/demo’s up soon? Is it worth the cash? My use is primarily beats and then guitar based rock/jazz.

    Thanks for the inspiration yo!

  18. humangray says:

nice setup, you give me some idea for do someting…

  19. swarm69 says:

still you can step recored with rmx1 right .. ?

  20. flippyg says:

Awesome way to demonstrate an on the fly beat. Coo set up for the budget, cause we all kno how expensive pro audio is.

  21. miztaz says:

yo man nice beat, but change the snare, harder snare.!

  22. Stray411 says:

Not really. The keys on the RM1X aren’t velocity sensitive or very responsive and easy to break. Since they’re used for other things, like track selection/muting, using something else as a controller is safer IMO.

  23. Neltron says:

couldn’t in fact you manage this without the padkontrol, jst use the Rm1x to input midi

  24. digitaljosh says:

Great job Bro! That beat sounds cool. I like that flute sound after the keys. I could be content with my Computer and RM1X, but I got alot more than that now.

  25. Stray411 says:

Having a problem with comments on this vid.

Pugg…no, it comes with Reason Adapted, which is missing a lot of features.

And Awake303 wrote that the beat was boring. No need to apologize for having an opinion though.
