Co-Op Jam Session, Toronto (12.22.09) Part 3

Written by Admin on April 28th, 2010

Two of five Co-Op members break in some new tracks, Ableton Launchpad and experiment with keys and effects. We turned things up a notch in this jam opting for harder, driving sounds. We are extremely pleased with the Launchpad and the possibilities it enables. The audio and video are slightly out of sync. We ran out of video for this part. Track 1: Einmusik – Jabloko (Butch Remix) Track 2: Guti – Asi Balla Damian (Franco Cinelli Remix) Track 3: Johnny D – Point Of No Return

Ok, thanks for the info. I tried to figure out which track it was on beatport, but impossible, it’s well too arranged. Great job in all sessions!

Thanks for the soundcard tips, i was wondering whether to buy a M-Audio Profire 610 or Native audio 8 dj for both Ableton and Traktor, coupled with Akai Mpd 24 and my 4 ch mixer.

Anyway only cooking matters, not tools.

    Thanks.

We use a Motu Ultralite mk3. It has plenty of ins and outs both analogue, instrument/mic and digital. If you are looking for an audio interface I highly recommend a Motu. In the studio we have two Ableton Live running on two computers, one for the keys (Karim) and one for tracks, loops and percussion (Oreste). We don’t sync the two.
On the road we use one laptop and run everything through that and the Motu Ultralite, filling all six channels on the A&H xone 92.

Hi Oreste, Which soundcard do you use with your mixer & ableton to put it out on 4 channels ?

It’s a nice work, i wonder how you can sync with two computers on software, you use clocks or special wires ?

And which Johnny D is that ?

    Salut, Nico.
