What hardware controller do you recommend to use with Ableton Live?

Friday, December 23rd, 2011

Question by : What hardware controller do you recommend to use with Ableton Live?
I want to learn how to use the Ableton Live music production software but I don’t like twiddling knobs with the mouse. I want to be able to use both my hands and I find the keyboard/mouse combination rather uncomfortable for doing that.

So, I’m looking for a hardware controller that isn’t very expensive but that you recommend and have used and know that it’s good. I’m planning on making minimal techno (plastikman style). I’m not planning on using it to play live sets, just to use it on a studio.

Thanks a lot for your help!

I use a Roland-GW7 but I would think you could use any controller as long as it has MIDI ports on it. so I would say look at Roland products and Google MIDI controllers or Synthesizers and you will be able to find what fits your budget, hope that helped good luck.
