Ableton Suite is a tremendous piece of software.

Aside from a few extra plugins, I don’t use anything else for making music these days. It has absolutely everything you need to get started, the layout is straightforward and easy to understand and it comes with loads of tutorials to set you on the right track. It has an incredible amount of features and instruments for you to use. You can’t really go wrong with Ableton as long as your computer is powerful enough to handle it.
